Profile:

With talent and determination Emma Feline has achieved international status and recognition as a leading urban DJ. She began mixing UK Garage in 1997 and has been playing Hip Hop and R&B since 2000. Her precise mixing, formidable selection and versatile style works any crowd into a frenzy, and her record box has been a passport to jet set around the world. From India to America , Estonia to Barbados , Dubai to Ibiza , the list goes on.

Her career literally began over night when DJ Funky Smith asked if she wanted to stand in for him at Bar Code in London . Even though she had only been shown the ropes a week before, she went for it and was immediately offered a weekly residency.

Using this new source of income to start her beloved record collection she began her mission. Not having her own decks she would practise every night at Bar Code, which became her second home.

She quickly joined forces with Lynda Phoenix, another female DJ who shared her passion for music. The duo made their radio debut a few weeks later after blagging the unpopular Sunday slot on pirate radio London Underground . Within a year they were promoted to Sunday afternoon and set up London 's Most Wanted, an all girl DJ collective that soon became an interesting story for the media. Guest appearances with Steve Jackson, The Dreem Teem, and Woman's hour on Radio 4 ; newspaper and magazine features in The Guardian, Time Out, Evening Standard, DJ Magazine and Touch along with T.V interviews and documentaries on Channel 4 and MTV gave the exposure needed to secure bookings at all the big events including a residency with Twice As Nice at The End.

In 2000 London Most Wanted parted and she was signed by Profile Agency who recognised her potential to the American underground scene. She began touring three times a year, building up a faithful following in New York , Baltimore , North Carolina , Washington DC , Brooklyn , Atlanta , Miami , Gainesville , Seattle , LA and Dallas , where she is hailed as a major pioneer of UKG and 2 Step. During these trips she would hunt down the latest Hip Hop and R&B records before they're UK release.

Not just a talented DJ Emma Feline has turned her skills to the studio, producing and remixing tracks under the alias of London 's Most Wanted, Fierce and Funky and Tombraider. Some were released on her own label ‘Stereotherapy' – Check discography for more details.

The gold selling compilation ‘ Twice as Nice, Urban Flava's was one of the largest selling urban compilation's ever! Expertly mixed by her and Steve Sutherland, Emma had a big input into the track selection including one of her own productions ‘Indian Summer'.

In 1999 Upfront FM was the pirate du jour, and Emma was one of their premier DJ's, presenting a popular radio show and playing at packed Upfront parties. In 2002 she joined London's No 1 for Hip Hop and R&B Choice FM (owned by Capital) to host the Wednesday night ‘Raw Selection', a blend of cutting edge music with special guest interviews. In January 2004 her musical knowledge and presenting skills were rewarded with promotion to a Sunday daytime show.

With so much going on Emma was approached by Tense Magazine , and in July 2003 she started writing her own column. The aptly named ‘Decks in the City' is bursting with candid stories, collected on her DJing travels. In February 2005 this column moved when she was asked to join Touch Magazine.

In July 2003 Emma had a bad accident to her hip and lower back, which has been an ongoing problem causing her to stop working for most of 2004. 2005 will see Miss Feline making a steady come back and with all that time to reflect, plot and plan it could easily be her best year yet.
